Agenda: EP ITRE Committee Meeting (21 – 22 June 2017)

The agenda includes items in energy, climate & environment and digital policy.

Energy, Climate & Environment: On 21 June, items on the agenda include the adoption of the draft opinion on the GMBM for aviation, as well as the ITRE Contribution to the ENVI resolution on COP 23 – Bonn. A joint meeting of ITRE and ENVI on the Governance of the Energy Union will also take place, followed by an exchange of views with Commissioner Bieńkowska. There will be an exchange of views with Mr Miguel Arias Cañete on 22 June, followed by considerations of draft reports on energy efficiency and promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources (recast).

Digital: On 21 June, the Committee will have a debate on the draft opinion on the ePrivacy Regulation proposal. The Committee will also vote on the provisional agreement resulting from the interinstitutional negotiations, on the adoption of the draft report on a space strategy for Europe and the adoption of the draft opinion on the rules on the exercise of copyright and related rights applicable to certain online transmissions. On 21 June, the Committee will also have an exchange of views with Commissioner Bieńkowska. On 22 June, the Committee will have debates on the European Electronic Communications Code (recast) and the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications.
