Final Draft Agenda: European Parliament Plenary Session (13-16 November 2017)

Agenda items concern energy, climate & environment, digital, trade, transport, and general policy.

Energy, Climate & EnvironmentOn 13 November, there is an oral question on the protection of coastal marine habitats and on 14 November, an oral question on the action plan for nature, people and the economy. On 15 November, there will be a vote on the action plan for nature, people and the economy, a Commission statement on a decision adopted on the second Mobility Package and the oral question on the Environmental Implementation Review is also on the agenda. On 16 November, there will be a vote on the motion for resolution on the Environmental Implementation Review.

Digital – On 14 November, the agenda includes the debate and vote on Cooperation between national authorities responsible for the enforcement of consumer protection laws.

Trade – on 14 November, there will be a Commission statement on the 11th WTO Ministerial conference. The Eastern Partnership summit and protection against dumped and subsidised imports from countries not members of the EU is also on the agenda. On 15 November, there will be a vote on the motion for resolution on multilateral negotiations in view of the 11th WTO Ministerial Conference and on protection against dumped and subsidised imports from countries not members of the EU. The oral question on the Russian important ban will also discussed. On 16 November, debates and votes will take place on the EU-New Zealand partnership agreement.

Transport – On 13 November, agenda items include a debate on Recognition of professional qualifications in inland navigation and on Saving lives: Boosting car safety in the EU. On 15 November, agenda items include a Commission statement on a decision adopted on the second Mobility Package and a vote on the Period for adopting delegated acts.

General – On 14 November, agenda items include Council and Commission statements on the Paradise papers, the rule of law in Malta, as well as a statement by the VP / HR on Trump and the Iran Nuclear deal. On 15 November, there will be Council and Commission statements on the situation of the rule of law and democracy in Poland, an address by Andrej Kiska and the election of Vice-Presidents of the European Parliament. There are also several votes on nominating members to the Court of Auditors. Other items include a topical debate on radicalism and populism in Europe 100 years after the Bolshevik revolution in Russia, and the activities of the European Ombudsman in 2016.
