As part of its transparency commitment, as well as its ongoing initiative to engage with civil society, the European Commission held two meetings yesterday with stakeholders on the ongoing trade policy agenda, as well as the state of play on the EU-US Executive Working Group (EWG) work programme.

A consultation regarding the potential of transforming the European Women Forum into a multidisciplinary think tank for women in a society in transition.
The European Court of Auditors is conducting an audit of public participation in EU law-making. In particular, they will examine the public consultations with stakeholders undertaken by the European Commission when preparing its legislative proposals. The auditors have today published a Background Paper, “Consulting the public when preparing EU law”, as a source of information for those interested in the subject.
